Arnos Vale

Arnos Vale

Leading the team that included public engagement and cost planning, we engaged with the Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust and its stakeholders to evaluate the future of the disused Victorian Lodge in the west of this large, wooded site in a dense suburban area outside the Old City of Bristol. Our work provided an analysis with clear illustrations of options for either remodelling or rebuilding the lodge for a visionary new use as a community resource with a base for the land management team at the Cemetery.

Our team brought creative ideas to help maximise the functions that can be accommodated on a restricted site. Efficient spatial planning, covered external spaces and use of level differences were used to create a building which could serve multiple uses.
