SIMON INNES

Simon is the Founding Director of Innes Associates and provides the insights of over 20 years in practice in London. He is an expert in the design of schools and other buildings for education, a strong leader, and an excellent communicator. Combining a strong analytical approach and an ability to maximise the value from a brief, Simon will drive all projects to a successful conclusion. Simon has acted as Design Advisor for the London Borough of Lewisham and has a special interest in promotion of landscapes and the careful design of buildings within them. When not in the architecture studio Simon is normally writing, cycling, or wishing he was on a sailing boat.

Raluca Turcu

Raluca is an Architect and Certified Passive House Designer. Her experience has focused on the education and student accommodation sectors. Raluca is skilled in managing the technical design, coordination and construction of projects, with an emphasis on timber structures, including CLT. With a keen interest in sustainability, she enjoys exploring ways in which Architects can work with and on behalf of communities to deliver social value at a low ecological cost. Outside of work, Raluca enjoys reading or staying active by hiking, climbing, skiing or cycling. 

Chioma Ibe

Chioma is an architectural assistant (part 1) in her 2nd year at the University of Bath. Her recent project explored using the heart's circulation to design a medical centre. She has a deep interest in wooden model making and sustainable residential design. In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball and digital art.

CORRIE-ANNE ROUNDING

Corrie is an Associate, whose intelligent analysis, problem-solving, and creative design development gets the most value for Clients out of any brief. She is an exceptional communicator and strong leader of project teams, and these qualities promote high quality and rapid progress in design work. Corrie’s work at IA includes educational, residential, heritage, and site masterplanning projects. Out of the design studio, she participates in a wide range of sports including netball, rugby, and climbing.

AMELIA LEPKOWSKA

Amelia is an Architect at Innes Associates. She studied her Masters at the University of Strathclyde with a distinction, with her research focusing on architecture and political space. She enjoys working on conservation projects and giving historic buildings another life through a considerate approach. Outside of work, she enjoys painting and analogue photography and often spends her weekends hiking or cycling.

ANDREW SCOTHERN

Andrew is an Architectural Assistant (Part II), with a passion for sustainable Architecture. He has a keen interest in using his problem-solving skills to provide the best possible solution needs for clients. Andrew graduated with a distinction from the University of the West of England Bristol with his research focusing on the environmental and economic impact of Passivhaus on the future of UK housing. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys running, cycling, and photography.

NATALIA KLUS

Natalia is an Architect and BIM Coordinator. Pre-fabrication, standardised components, and well-coordinated engineering are areas in which Natalia has proven knowledge and experience. She has worked on-site for the restoration of buildings of local interest, led the application of BIM techniques to the design of eco-studios, and managed the co-ordination of technical information on larger projects. She also has a strong interest in heritage buildings and is working towards accreditation as a Conservation Architect. Outside of working hours, Natalia enjoys mountaineering and with her team has climbed the highest peaks in Europe.

Sangay Dorji Wangchuk

Sangay is an Architectural Assistant (Part 1). He studied at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University where he achieved a first. Sangay enjoys creating architecture that focusses on sustainability and incorporates artificial technology. He has worked on community based projects and housing for Wales. In his free time Sangay enjoys painting and travelling.

THOMAS RUPP

Thomas is a Director of our sister practice son.tho Architekten in Besigheim, near Stuttgart. He is an accomplished Architect and responsible for the design of many significant projects for the practice between £2 and £35 million. His thorough grounding in the German tradition of Architect-Construction Manager means he has an unparalleled knowledge and experience of the practicalities of building design. In the UK his completed projects range from a £21 million all-through school to large-scale mixed-use developments.

SANDRA NOWACKA

Sandra Nowacka is our Practice Manager with 6+ years experience working within the architecture industry. Sandra is responsible of all our administrative, HR, bookkeeping and team related activities. Sandra is the ‘go to’ person for the practice and can tackle any problem and support members of staff whenever they need help in their professional roles. She recently completed CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources Management diploma.

JOELLE WARSONO

Joelle is an Architectural Assistant (Part I) whose design philosophy thrives on embracing the spirit of experimentation. Joelle graduated from the University of Sheffield with her project ‘Peter Tatchell foundation.’ She explores a retrofit-based brief where material choices were decided through carbon calculations to meet the RIBA 2030 climate challenge. The building’s design manifests the LGBTQIA+ community’s preference for human rights, serving as a symbol of strength and promoting a positive connection between the architecture and the users’ lives.
